Of course Post Mil Calvinism in the US has Jonathan Edwards to look back on. A racist, slave owner who somehow gets a pass because while giving one of the more snarky defenses of slavery, he did "advance" in that he did not believe in splitting slave families in sales (well, at least until the children were 16 or so). He was consistent though, instead of salving his conscience by having his slaves made free upon his death (a common practice) he instructed they he sold and increase the cash of his estate.
